Here at the Walther Center, we hope to serve as a vibrant information source and bridge to make the issue of access to essential medicines for pain & palliative care a global health priority.
We do this by publishing press releases, leveraging innovative digital software to aggregate global news on hospice and palliative care, and we do this by amplifying the voices of change agents around the world representing policymakers, clinicians, advocates and importantly, people with direct experience of serious health related suffering.
Behind every policy change is a chain of remarkable tenacious individuals who are “moving mountains” for the 93% of people in the world for whom relief from pain and suffering is unattainable due to sociopolitical barriers.
We invite you to follow their inspirational voices through our Tour de Progress segment, a weekly spotlight of champions around the world working to alter the landscape of access to palliative care in their country.
